Shopping The City – DSW

Shopping for shoes in my own backyard?! Sign me up! Well not my actual backyard of course, but pretty dang close. DSW in downtown San Francisco just happens to carry a HUGE selection (count 4 floors worth) including high end, drool worthy designers you won’t find at all locations. If you don’t live in San Francisco this is a perfect reason to start planning a trip. I mean everyone needs shoes, right?!

I picked up a couple pair last week which you’ll soon be seeing, but these French Connection mules may be my new summer love; they have a great 90’s vibe, which is right on trend and the cognac coloring looks lux. After getting these babies home my internal dialogue sounded something like “…so excited! They’ll go with this, and this, OMG and that too! Ohhhh… and they’ll look GREAT with those!” Obviously it’s not the most prophetic internal moment I’ve ever had, but if you’re a gal who gets excited about new shoes then you’ll understand 😉

So when Mr. T and I decided to spend the holiday weekend in Portland guess who made the suitcase cut! I’d never been to Portland, but Mr. T occasionally travels there for work and enjoys it. Off we went with food, fireworks and fun on our minds. It was a great opportunity to show off my newly acquired fancy footwork and I decided a boho chic look would be a great start. Do any of these pieces look familiar. You may have seen them here, but it just goes to show how a few, key items can change up a look.

We had a great time in Portland and definitely want to go back. It’s always thrilling to have something new to take with you on a trip, which is just another reason to stop by DSW downtown at 400 Post St, San Francisco, CA 94102. Whether you live in SF or plan to visit, it’s a stylish and savvy place to stock up on fab footwork for every day or fun summer travel. And just in case you can’t make it, below are a few of my online favorites. Time to shop!
