I hope you’re well this Wednesday! I had such a good time over the last few days with my friends in town! There’s something so special about having great girlfriends. They make everything a little more fun and I just wished we all lived closer but such is life. So in hopes of keeping a little pep in my step after they’re departure I’m getting back to my very delayed recap of Lucky Fabb Day 2. In my previous post here you can see the details of what I wore for the 2nd day. Lucky editors organized the shopping excursions according to different New York city neighborhoods with choices between Soho, Meatpacking & the Upper East Side. My first inclination would have been to choose Soho but it was sold out by the time I got my tickets. I selected Meatpacking instead which turned out to be great since I already knew Soho rather well.
The lineup of stores was great as were all the bloggers. I’d already met a few of them the day before but it was so nice to meet these impressive ladies in a more intimate setting. We started with brunch at the Dream Hotel Downtown and even though I usually stay with friends in NYC it wouldn’t take much convincing to spend a night there. It’s swanky got a cool vibe which you can see in the following pictures.
Following brunch we began our shopping day at Safira in the Dream Downtown. Afterwards we continued on to Jeffrey, Paige, All Saints and finished up at Intermix. Here are a few of the girls posing for a quick pic before we headed out.
Jeffrey was ultra impressive carrying items I could only image getting my hands on. I think I may have ACTUALLY drooled in the store. I was able to take a few photos but they requested we stop. Understandably they preferred we not disturb the shopping experience for their “regular” folk 😉
As you see I was having a tough time at Paige trying to make a decision. So much denim, so little time.
After that I got a little too distracted by all manner of shiny things to continue “documenting”. I also enjoyed chatting with so many of the other bloggers and I wish we’d had more time with together. The icing on the cake? Discovering these ladies are as wonderful in person as they are on the webernet!
After finishing up the official day I chose to check out another recommended shop nearby (more on that later) before heading back to The Village in “primperation” for Fashion’s Night Out. Where do you like to shop when you’re in New York? Do you have a favorite hood? As with everything else Lucky Magazine seems to touch the second day of Fabb was just that, fab! While I enjoyed shopping around the Meatpacking district I don’t think I’ll be shopping around for another favorite fashion magazine anytime soon. I’ve clearly found my favorite 🙂
PS – While I wasn’t able to get everyone’s information here are a few other bloggers I met that day you may also want to check out. (Ladies, if you have additional contact info for me to add please let me know!)
