You’ll know it when you meet them. That’s what they say about falling in love right? Well who’s to say that rule can only apply to romance?! Pshaw! Ridiculous! Clothes and closets need love too and there are some pieces you’ll see and just can’t get out of your head. Have you fallen for stripes too?
I did my best to ignore this jacket for a few months but it refused to leave my fashion fantasy league. But you’re all like… “Nic, they’re stripes! What’s so special?” I know, I know. A striped blazer doesn’t sound like that big of a deal but trust me, it is! First & foremost, blazers and jackets will pull together any look. Throw one on with whatever you’re wearing to add an instant polished effect.
Secondly, something as graphic as these bold stripes allows you to keep the rest of your outfit really simple while still standing out. A “pop” doesn’t always have to mean color. Yes, I realize I’m wearing color here but even if I was wearing all white the result would still be eye catching.
Another great reason to love this jacket is the tailoring. It’s made well and the details at the shoulder, as well as the zippered pockets, give it that little something special. My only criticism? I wish they’d lined the entire thing but it would’ve bumped up the price and the cotton’s so soft it’s not really necessary.
I bought this a few months ago at full price but it’s on sale now at a FAB price. Wear it with just about anything; Jeans, dresses, pants, skirts, you name it! How would you wear this jacket? A blazer like this is great because though it’a classic the modern details give it contemporary twist. Want to step up your style game even more? Stripes are great for pattern mixing. Whether you’re a novice or an old pro this is an awesome piece to add to your Repertoire.
