Ahhhhh! I have SOOOO much to do over the upcoming days. Mr. T and I are headed to Canada on Wednesday to see his mom and I’m so excited! I love my future mother in law and it’s been too long since we last saw her. Then the night we come back, one of my BFF’s is flying in from Philly. It’ll be his first time in SF so we’ll try to jam in as much as possible over 2ish days. And THEN, (as if I needed a then) I’m jumping on a flight to NYC for Lucky Magazine’s Lucky fabb conference. Of course I’ll also be seeing some NYC friends and spending time with my cousin. PHEW! I’m already out of breath and I haven’t even started!
The tricky part is I have to work the next few days; no Columbus holiday for me unfortunately. That’s alright, except it basically leaves today for me to clean, catch up with the fam, solidify some wedding details, start packing and do all the other errands that need doing. Anyone want to help?… Crickets. I thought so. No biggie. It’ll all come together. I just need to figure out how to sleep with my eyes open.
So I wore this outfit a little while back when Mr. T and I were traipsing around the city, attending one of the many summer festivals. You may wonder if you read that correctly but yes, I did say summer. SF is notoriously chilly and foggy in the summer, so oddly enough many ouutfits are perfect to share in the fall with you fab folks, who probably live in places with normal weather patterns heh heh. With my day being comprised of a laundry list of “To Do’s”, including laundry, this outfit will be keep me comfortable (hello Converse!) but still has a punch of personality. I’m in love with this stripe & floral combination. Last time I wore it for a night out at the theater. Did you see it here?
This time pairing the top with ripped jeans, an animal print belt and a cargo jacket the look has a decidedly downtown, hipster vibe. Adding some gold layered jewelry in modern geometric shapes solidify’s the look. I need to get as much wear from my clothes as possible so buying pieces that are versatile is important. Do you feel the same? That’s one of the reasons I love this d’andrea handbag so much too! It’s easy to wear for a night out or more casual, as it’s styled here. How would you wear this top? Or handbag? And if you’re newer to mixing prints a top like this is perfect because they’ve done the work for you! It’s premixed! Now, if I could only find someone to pack or run errands for me….
