Popping My Color
Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean putting away EVERY colorful item in your closet. As we all know, there are some days that call for more brightness than the sun can provide. If you saw my last post you’ll know I feel pretty good about life these days, but I’m always down for popping my color.
Have you ever noticed how bright colors can lift your mood? It’s a small change that can make a big impact. The next time you look at a colorful photograph, or really anything for that matter, be cognizant of how you feel. Do images with bright colors vs those that are darker or more neutral change your mindset? Mull it over, but not for too long; go with your gut!
Generally, I like to pair brights with edgier pieces, like the denim joggers you see here. You’ll probably recognize the acid wash as a throwback element, but it’s reemerged and on trend. I love these heels because they’re comfortable, but also keep with that theme of ladylike edge (see the first time I wore them here). Finish the look with a neutral, classic bag, which keeps the acid wash classy, not trashy 😉
So don’t worry, it’s only hump day! Whether you want to edgify your look or just keep it cute, there’s plenty of time to add some color before the work week ends. Get popping!
