I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Saturday I was in HEAVEN with San Francisco and its sunny weather. I broke out my orange neon shorts and pranced around the city looking at furniture with Mr. T. I find orange neon surprisingly versatile but not everyone is a fan. By the way, if you haven’t already “Liked” the Manners and Moxie Facebook page swing on by and show it some love. I posted a picture of the shorts the other day asking how you might style them. I put all sorts of things up there from information on sales, styles/brands and other funny little tidbits… All things I think and hope you may like, love, laugh at or loathe depending on your mood. I’ll be be showing you how I wore the neon shorts in a later post along with my latest shoe SALE score from J Crew. They’re having an additional 30% off sale right now http://www.jcrew.com/sale.jsp?navLoc=top_nav (which you’d know about if you’ve liked the M&M Facebook page heh heh.
However, since it’s Monday I wanted to share a look that’s a fun way to start your work week. It’s professional but with bright pops of color that may help convince you to drag your butt back to work after a weekend of frolicking and frivolity. I wore this to work not long ago and enjoyed playing with the idea of electric hues. I’d been on the hunt for blue suede shoes forever but couldn’t decide between pointy or round toes. These are comfortable hybrid with a great height for all day wear so your feet won’t accuse you of abuse at the end of the day. Not to mention these beauties are a great price and Piperlime http://piperlime.gap.com/, where I bought them, is having a 15% off sale site wide through tomorrow 6/19/12. Along with their free shipping and returns it’s just another great reason to snag these or something else you’ve been craving! This cardigan is also a bright, bold color but I think the combination works well together. Especially when adding the minty necklace to soften it. If you don’t have these color combinations that’s fine. Any brightly paired opposites would work if you keep the other pieces subdued.
So what’s your take on my electric Monday look? Could you see yourself trying this out or are you currently gagging at my color choices? What would you try instead? Unfortunately I don’t have any funny pic’s today but hopefully you’ll appreciate this graffiti wall that served as a backdrop instead. When Mr. T and I saw this I pretty much stopped in my tracks. If I haven’t mentioned it yet I kinda have a thing for graffiti. I admire art in all it’s forms and this wall was decidedly cool… I loved the colors but I can’t image the time it took to tag it. Since I gravitate towards balance in all things (obv… Manners & Moxie 😉 I thought this professional attire just screamed for a rough, gritty, downtown background. “It’s Electric”, don’t you think?
