Green is Good
Green. For months now I’ve been obsessed with the color. You may have noticed it’s resurrection as of late; it seems to be popping up everywhere, or maybe that’s because I’m drawn to it. Green is a notoriously tricky color. One shade will have people stopping in their tracks, stunned by beauty and a different variation may have the same lovely lady resembling some manner of baby food. Funny, but not cute.
Green was a VERY popular color during the jazz age and the decade that followed (20’s/30’s). Since Mr.T and I planned a wedding that was stylistically deco & glam wearing a green dress for one of our events fit perfectly with our theme. We rented out one of our favorite Charleston, SC bars welcoming everyone to town and kick off our celebration. If you’re in Charleston you simply MUST stop by The Gin Joint; it’s awesome!
This was not what I originally planned to wear. I’d been stalking a particular dress online and tried to acquire it twice, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. A backup was planned and I’d almost given up on my green dream when I ran into this chic little number the day before I left town. It’s modern, sexy and edgy; a great dress to take anyone through spring and summer.
The dress can be worn without a belt, but I fell hard for this metallic accessory and it gave me a little more shape. Adding additonal mixed metallic accessories in my bag and jewelry made the look perfect for night-time. What color have you been obsessed with lately?
