Get It Shorty
Moving to San Francisco years ago basically meant breaking up with my shorts, rompers and almost anything that doesn’t offer wind & fog protection. While the rest of the country basks in the warm summer months we’re bundled up, just chillin’ in our parkas and scarves. So whenever I travel back east or anywhere warm I let my legs play hooky in the sunshine and stuff my parka in the nearest closet.
Such an opportunity arose when we headed down to my parents place in Hilton Head, South Carolina following our Charleston wedding. A few days retreat was needed after all the hustle & bustle and Hilton Head may be one of THE most relaxing places ever. Growing up I spent time there with friends during summers and weekends so it holds a special place in my heart. The first time you see the sun rise or set in the low country it will capture your heart too.
A bright floral romper was the perfect companion for taking in the beautiful view on the marsh at sunset, in addition to Mr.T of course. One of the great things about rompers and dresses is the onesie effect; very little needs to be added to complete an outfit. Did you see the last time I wore this romper? Luckily, my gladiator sandals seem to go with everything, including the amazing Etta necklace from Jami; a red lip and metallic Mr. One-Nighter bag joined in to round out my look.
Truth be told moments after sunset I left Mr. T to his own devices, a.k.a nap time, and went on a little shopping local expedition. A girl has to “explore” right?! It been too long since I was last there plus I was already dressed in a cute outfit! This “shorty” needed to be taken for a spin before the parka reappeared… I’m sure you get it 😉
