I realize I’ve been talking a lot about Napa recently, (feel free to catch up on those posts here) but I’ll mention just one more thing… I bought this dress at the Gap Outlet when we were there for my birthday. Ok. Done. Now I’ll move on. So this high low dress trend. Thoughts? I admit I have yet to make up my mind on it. Some days I’m feeling it, others not so much, but for the most part it depends on other details: print, cut, material etc. This one obviously caught my eye.
The day these photos were snapped, Mr. T and I were scouting locations around town for our engagement shoot. We wanted to do something in the city since it’s wonderful “canvas” with unique neighborhoods and details at every turn. Knowing there would be quite a bit of walking involved this was a great outfit. This high low dress gave me the right amount of coverage for warmth but still allowed my legs to breathe when hiking up all the hills. Since it gets a little chilly in the evenings (the dress is sleeveless) I went ahead and wore my moto jacket, knowing we were pretty much out for the night.
With all the walking these booties were chosen to be my best friend. I’ve been wearing these babies constantly as of late. Did you see them here? They’re very comfortable and I never thought I’d wear this color SO MUCH! I know you’re raising an eyebrow, questioning my judgement, but trust me! If you’re buying new booties for Fall these Sam Edelman’s from Piperlime should be on your list!
Lately I’ve been wearing a lot of blues and reds together. There’s just something about the combination I love! Even though these booties are in the red family, they’re more of a darker, maroon color. I wanted to have one pop of color that really stood out and I couldn’t go wrong with these sunnies. I mentioned in this post I’d been looking for a pair of red sunglasses and after finding these, decided they had to be mine! I’ve gotten so many compliments on them and they’re a statement piece all on there own. What do you think? Do you like reds & blues together? I didn’t realize but apparently, I’m a fan!
