Day One Down

Hi kiddies!

Today was such a whirlwind I can’t even begin to explain how much fun I had! The day was filed with all types of blogaliciousness and blogging power houses that a girl like me can only take the form of a sponge in the hopes of soaking it all in. I attended IFBCON, otherwise known as the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference. As a matter of fact you can see some hightlights of the first day right here. As much as I would like to attend tomorrow too I’ve already committed myself to the exciting LuckyFABB conference. Even if you’re not attending you can watch the live stream to catch all the action. I’m attending both days of the event and I’ll be sure to share all the deets along with a few other exciting things from the week. I don’t have time to recap all of it today but I wanted to share a few things with you. One of those of course being what I wore for the days events.

Originally I had something else in mind I was going to wear but this was nice and light with the warm, humid weather in New York . I wore comfortable wedges because I knew I’d be on my feet all day and afterwards Whitley & I went to additional events. I promise to do a much more detailed recap when the week is over at which point I’ll tell you more about these fun events. I want to do them justice and my swiss cheese brain won’t let that happen tonight.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this necklace and bought it here on the streets in Soho. It’s a great place to find all sorts of things and one of my favorite ways to “shop” NYC.

My partner in crime today and tomorrow is the amazing Whitley from The Queen City Style. Check her out when you have a second or you’ll just be missing out. We also spent much of the day with lovely ladies Jaclyn from Sharing My Sole and Becky from The Pumpkin Spot. These ladies were kind enough to take some of the pictures you see above and wonderful company. There are a number of additional bloggers I’d like to share with you but given there’s another long day tomorrow this girl is in serious need of some beauty sleep. If you’d like to keep up with the “live action”, so to speak make sure you’re following me on Twitter and Instagram where my handle is Flash102.

    5. […] Going out in the Mission neighborhood of San Francisco I wanted to dress up for girls night but with a more arty feel. Overall the area has a hipster and relaxed vibe so while I abstained from glitter a cool statement necklace was just fine. This particular one I bought on the streets of NYC when I wore it for the first time in this post here. […]
