Change Your Spots
Happy almost mid January… Already? Can you believe it? Time is officially moving too fast! I’ve been a busy bee lately (wedding planning, work, travel etc…) who’s also been a bit under the weather, so I apologize for the crickets over the last week. To perk me up this lady Leo, as in moi, is changing her spots… Ok. It’s not THAT deep but I was caught wearing a little animal print which I believe can have the same effect.
I love this look because it’s so versatile; date night, cocktails with friends, brunch, a gallery opening or maybe just running errands when you want to look cute! Or in my case when attending a few events in San Francisco. A neutral palette with a pop of color (hello my favorite red sunnies!) will always give off a sophisticated, chic look.
I’ve been looking for a good pair of leather pants/leggings, real or faux, but haven’t quite found that happy medium on my fit/price scale. In the meantime, these will do quite nicely as I continues my search; the zipper detail is what makes them look more expensive. Wearing a longer tunic top will cover any areas you’re self conscious about, especially in a print. Then add a cropped blazer, or maybe cardigan, to give interest, proportion and in this case, draw the eye upward.
No matter what I’m doing this outfit make me want to have fun! Bits & baubles plus a big neutral bag, to carry all my crap, rounded out the details. Do you have a favorite piece in this outfit? How would you restyle it to change your spots?
