Camo Chic

Your style mission… Do you blend in or stand out? It’s possible to do both! I’m rarely one to shy away from a stage or crowd but there ARE times when I feel like being slightly quieter. Muted color palettes and neutrals are an incredibly chic way to show off your stylish side but in a way that’s more subdued. Your inner voice may still be jumping around with excitement but on the outside you’ll appear be saying “I’m cool, calm and collected”.

For this look I decided on a muted color combo but not of grey, black or even dusty pinks. Camo jeans were my style weapon of choice for building this look, which meant pairing pieces in a similar hue of the color spectrum. I snagged this Gap sweater on sale recently and I’m SO happy I did! It feels great and makes a fab layering piece. To add softness and feminize the look a sheer blouse like this is a great choice. This was a gift from my sister but any piece with an embellished collar will allow you to forgo a necklace if you want.

You’ll need some shoes to stomp around in the style jungle and heels will put the chic in a Camo Chic look. If case you want to keep it more casual d’orsay style flats would be a great choice and maybe a black crossbody. However, pointy suede heels and a metallic bag take the look up a notch (metallics always add a bit of “fancy”) making it a great date night option if you so choose.

A few more accessories and a moto style jacket give this outfit a little edge… but just a touch. And sorry about my hair tie in the close up photo of my wrist but hey… we’ve all been there so I’m just keeping it real 😉 What’s your idea of Camo Chic?
