Hi Kiddies!

I’m sooooooo happy to be off on this lovely Thursday! Yesterday was a long, busy day at work and I was there rather late so I’m currently writing this in my PJ’s. There’s something decadent about being off on a Thursday when most people are working. Sometimes it feels a bit like I’m cutting class but I’ll happily indulge in this loveliness . While I could really chillax here all day my To Do list is entirely too long so I need to get it To Done. I keep waiting on an assistant to show up at my door offering their services but for SOME reason it hasn’t worked out that way hehe.

I mentioned yesterday in my Sneaky Neon mini post that I’d be sharing 2 days of neon with you fabulous people. It just so happens that Friday’s style challenge is neon so I’ll post that tomorrow but today’s look comes courtesy of last weeks furniture shopping expedition with Mr. T. It was a GORGEOUS day in SF and I couldn’t wait to wear my orange neon shorts! I wanted to dance in the street and shout from the mountain tops (or Twin Peaks for convenience) how much I was loving the day! Of course Mr. T was sweating before we even left the house so I had to carry along his bucket just in case he melted. Luckily Room & Board was enough to distract him from the heat. We need plenty of furniture but bookcases are top on our list so we can unpack these damn books!! I refuse to live in a fort anymore, it’s not cute.

Orange neon is usually a love or hate color for most people. I can’t say I’ve always loved it but I was swayed back to it’s side some time ago. It’s really fun trying new pairings with these shorts but this combo was the winner of the day. I wanted a classy, casual vibe and I think that’s what this look reflects. This sweater is shiny but it’s not so bright as to blind you and though I tried different necklaces this mint number received “best in show”. I also kept my bag and shoes neutral since they are easier to blend with opposing colors. So what do you think of this look? Do you like orange neon or the neon trend in general? How would you style these shorts for a classy, casual look?

Room & Board is a great furniture store and we already have some pieces from there. I included a few funny pics on this post. As you see I was having a little too much fun with this bench and furry little throw but it was actually quite cool. I wanted to include more pictures of the store but admittedly I got a little distracted by all the fantastic furniture.  I even took advantage of the displays for a photo opp! Eventually Mr. T and I walked away ordering one bookcase with another in mind  but we needed to double check the measurements. We’ve since added the second bookcase to our order and are now awaiting delivery. So for now we’re still surrounded by boxes of books but cross your fingers I don’t turn into the color of my neon shorts while waiting for the delivery. In the meantime I’ll just be hanging out here in the fort 😉
