Boss Lady

Happy New Year! I’m sorry things have been so quiet around here! I was rather sick over the holidays and found it necessary to lay low and rest. I’m feeling better now and ready to welcome in 2015, though I’ve realized I need to make a few adjustments. I was so happy to change career directions last fall and I LOVE my job! Nevertheless it keeps me much busier than I expected and it, along with other responsibilities have left me trying to fit a size 10 life into a size 6 shoe; it’s just not working.

Manners & Moxie is part of my creative identity. It helps me fulfill my dreams and explore possibilities as I wander the world of style and design, but unfortunately I don’t always have time to go exploring. The crux of this ramble? I’m going to be writing less so I can post more. If I have the time and desire to write more, I will. And if I don’t, I won’t. 2015 is a good year to start doing more of what I want and less of what I don’t… and you should too!

So I’m starting off this year’s style journey obsessed with influences from the 70’s. This outfit is a little romantic, a little glam, a little boho, and a lot of awesome! It has the vintage influence I love, yet still feels fresh and cool. 2015 is the year to be boss. Dress up and wear anything that excites you! I’m starting with this….

corduroys – Levi’s via T.J Maxx // blouse, Mila ring – Piperlime // fur (vintage) – Ver Unica // bag – Lauren Merkin // heels – J.Crew // nameplate necklace – Jane Basch c/o // Paso necklace – Isobell Designs via Brit + Co. // bangles and owl ring – Forever 21 // other bracelet – ┬áBanana Republic // diamond necklace – Tiffany & Co.
