San Francisco is always cold in The Summer so we can “get away” with layers. And by “get away” I mean we have to layer up unless freezing is on the itinerary. It’s a great excuse to break out lighter denim which allows us to pretend we’re participating in the summer season, especially when paired with up other neutrals.
Taking traditional office staples like a blazer, kitten heels or a structured bag are a great way to get more mileage from your wardrobe. Though the colorblocking in this bag make it more modern the shape is a classic. Go for a casual chic look by pairing those “office” pieces with more casual items like denim and t-shirts.
Have you noticed more minimal attire making the rounds lately? Though not TOTALLY minimal this look is a close cousin. If you wanted just swap out the statement necklace for simple, layered chains and then choose a singular colored neutral bag. A ladylike shoulder bag would be a great choice.
Of course if you DO want to make a statement, a bright red lip is always a winner and well worth the time and effort to find. You might catch yourself looking in the mirror a little more wondering why you didn’t try it sooner. Get bold with your neutrals!
