I hope your weekend was an excellent one! Welcome back to another manic Monday and hopefully an exciting week ahead. As you know I haven’t been at this blogventure very long so everything is new and exciting to me! Actually I’m quite easily entertained in general. Due to the randomness of my thoughts I’ve always maintained that I could probably have a conversation with a brick wall and be perfectly happy. Later this week I’ll get to attend my first blog event thanks to my dearest friend Angie over at http://thehotnessyourmommawarnedyouabout.blogspot.com/ She has invited me to accompany her to a fun event in the city and of course I’ll be filling you in on all the dirty details afterwards!
As I mentioned in a previous post I’m back to a ten hour/four day work week. It’s awesome but most months out of the year I work partial weekends. I was back at work early Sunday morning so Friday was my “big” night out. This was what I ended up wearing to meet up with Mr. T and some friends. He started slightly earlier than I did with a happy hour at work… lucky sh**! I was texting him that afternoon telling him I was headed for a work out when he replied that HE was working on his gin and tonic heh heh. We met downtown at a bar called Tunnel Top and then bar hopped for the night. I wanted an urban look for the occasion but my inner dancer wanted to sparkle on the dance floor screaming “That’s my jam”! So a compromise was eventually reached and this was the result. These shoes are amazing and will upgrade any look but they can also be overpowering. Keeping the clothes and jewelry subdued, especially around my neck was key because I wanted the other accessories as the focal point. I think the bright bag adds just enough femininity and color to balance out the rest of the outfit. Would you wear this or something similar? How do you feel about taking traditionally “formal” accessories or clothes and mixing them with more everyday pieces. Tell me what you think or if you’d swap something out.
I haven’t selected a designated funny pic of the day because all these photos were a little strange. For some reason my camera was being ornery that night and wasn’t focusing properly. The last couple of pictures are all a bit odd because I look super imposed but I promise they weren’t doctored to look that way. Unfortunately adult beverages can’t be blamed for the quality of these photos but maybe my camera got into the bourbon when I wasn’t looking
